GENERAL INFO...

All my mosaics are handmade by me in my studio and are for internal display unless otherwise stated/requested. The wall art is ready to hang although wall fixings are not included. Please ensure you use the correct hardware to hold the weight securely. Injury/breakages as a result of unsubstantial hardware is the responsibility of the purchaser and I cannot be held accountable. My mosaics are made up of broken and clipped sharp materials and it is advised to handle them with care. Again, injury caused by lack of care in handling my artwork is the owners responsibility. My work is subject to copyright and I do not give permission for any of my art/images of my work to be copied or used without my prior consent. Thank you...

WORCESTER STANDS TALL AUCTION TOTAL...Drumroll please.............

On 11/10/18 a total of 31 decorated giraffes went to auction for St Richard's Hospice. A grand total of an amazing £210,400 was raised and the mosaic giraffe that I made (Girafficorn') raised an incredible £15,000! She was bid for and won by my sponsor, DRP and now lives happily with them. I am absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity of the bidders that night. This Wild in Art project has been amazing to participate in. I'm hoping it won't be my last...

HARE SCULPTURE COMMISSION.

I have recently completed my second Wild in Art sculpture, this time it was a private commission of a 6ft tall hare. The mosaic took 6 months to complete and incorporated cherished pieces of painted glass, tile and jewellery from my clients private collection. A truly personalised piece which I thoroughly enjoyed creating. There are many photos of the process from start to finish on my facebook page.

I get to display the wonderful trophy for a year until it's handed back for next years winner. It was featured in the Newquay Voice. Already looking forward to next years show!

Hospice HeART...

I've recently been asked to submit a piece of artwork for St Richard's Hospice. Their exciting new project features autographed pieces by selected artists and celebrities. The art will be exhibited on 5th and 6th October 2019 followed by an auction to raise money for their big build appeal. I'm so honoured to have been asked and will update you with the total after the auction takes place.

Exhibition!

I am taking part in an exhibition at Cockington Court in Devon from 29th Feb 2020 - 26th April 2020. Lots of mosaic artists from the South West are involved. Free admission too, so if you are in the area, pop in and have a look, It's going to be bursting with talent! Due to Covid 19 the exhibition had to close before it really had a chance to get started...however it was able to resume on 5th July until 1st August 2020. Opening times are limited to Thurs-Sun 10am until 4pm and measures are in place to effectively social distance whilst enjoying the artwork and the beauty of this wonderful place. You can see our artwork in an article in 'Cornwall Life' magazine.

RECYCLING AND SUSTAINABILITY...

I have recently upgraded my packaging to completely plastic free. I use recycled eco wrap to package and post all my mosaics. I use Hive Wrap by Kite Packaging using their specially designed dispenser. It is 100% recyclable and biodegradable. The boxes I use are also recycled and I use paper tape. My mosaics themselves are created using as many 'found, discarded or broken' pieces that would otherwise be destined for landfill. Any offcuts or clippings are saved, tumbled and reused where possible. I try to reuse and repurpose as much as I possibly can. The planet needs us to do our bit no matter how small. If you are local to Cornwall and have any broken or chipped cups, plates or wall tiles that you don't want to take to the tip, drop me an email and if they're suitable for me to use you can drop them off for me to use in my artwork.

NEWS 2021

I've been asked to stock The Imaginarium in York, North Yorkshire, UK this Christmas. A new and excluisive collection is in store now! It's well worth a visit if you are in the area. The store has built a reputation and has a bit of a cult following. Having visited myself, I can see why. The name is fitting...it makes you gasp when you walk in, your eye bounces up and down with something new and exciting filling each and every nook. I could spend hours in there and I feel so blessed to have my art in there now too. The setting is beautiful, quirky yet tasteful and they stock the most unique items sourced from some of the best and most innovative designers and makers. If you visit, let me know what you think!

I have been selected to take part in a ground-breaking, mass participation art education project called The World Reimagined. It's aim is to transform how we understand the Transatlantic Slave Trade. Artists submitted their designs answering a different theme. Each Globe sculpture produced by Wild In Art will see the design brought to life by the commissioned artist and displayed in a host city in the UK. The art trail will last throughout the summer and then the globes will be auctioned.

The host cities are Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, London and Swansea. I will reveal my host city soon. The designs are being kept a secret until they are all finished and revealed together at the launch. I am showing little snippets on my social media but not revealing too much! I hope you'll visit the globes in a city near you soon.

(My globe is still on display at The National Maritime Museum as of Feb 2024)

NEWS 2023

We are on the move! We are moving to Perranporth in August. There isn't an appropriate workspace for me at the new place so I will need to build a new studio. Stay tuned for more on this. This move will be our last and has been our dream move for many many years. Finally we've done it and I'll be able to walk a few minutes to the sea for my daily fix and be inspired by the coastline that I have loved for decades.

I've also just joined Threads if you fancy following...link is on my instagram.
