CLOWN' 
My thoughts behind the making of this piece... 
Her face is my take/version of a clown without doing the stereotypical 'make up' I wanted her to remind you of something you couldn't quite put your finger on...but we're familiar with without it being obvious or jarring. 
If you look at the details, she has birds flying round in her head. My nod to our over thinking/worry/stress born from social media (or the old fashioned 'tweets') meant to control, depress and divide us 
The sheer volume of information, contradiction and fakery has caused a crack in her skull as she struggles to process it all. However the crack is filled with sparkles (glitter grout!) Proving she can still overcome and shine. 
I made her eyes deep and pensive. She's almost staring through you like she isn't sure what's real anymore. 
Oh and do you like her throat tattoo? I etched a tile and stained the grooves with ink.
